I'm not sure about this particular recipe. It was one I made because I knew we had the ingredients on hand, and being a slow-cooker dish, was relatively simple to make. But I'm not sure I'll be making it again. Beast is not a fan of meat with a sweet sauce, so if I were to make it again, it would be just for me. And I'm not sure I like it enough for that. But it is pretty simple to make. So I'm glad I tried it.
Ingredient List
1-2 lbs chicken
2 cups honey
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
Sesame seeds (optional)
Place chicken in the slow cooker, and season with salt and pepper. In a medium sized bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, oil, and garlic. Pour over the chicken. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours. Before serving, garnish with some sesame seeds. Serve some of the extra sauce on the side if desired.
See? Pretty simple. This is one of those idiot proof recipes that probably anyone could make. I served mine with some rice and broccoli.
Bon Appetite!
