I do apologize for the lack of posts recently. The stress of the holidays has been running me ragged lately, and most days, I've come home from work and just wanted to curl up on the couch. Lately, my diet has consisted of Kraft mac 'n cheese (for the record, one of the best junk food meals out there -- growing up, we called "Real Stuff") or a bowl of cereal. Or just let Beast do the cooking.
But recently, I came across this recipe, and decided to give it a go. I don't remember where I found it -- Facebook, maybe -- but it was simple and easy, and pretty good, too. Beast has requested a repeat of it.
Ingredient List
2 tubs Pillsbury pizza dough
8-9 sticks mozzarella cheese
8 T butter, melted
1 T garlic powder
Preheat oven to 425. Open up the tubes of dough, flatten them out, one a time, on a baking sheet, and cut each one up into 25 squares. Cut up the cheese into equal bite size pieces and wrap each piece up into the squares of pizza dough. Place each ball of dough onto the cookie sheet and arrange however you like. Pour the melted butter over the dough and sprinkle with garlic.
Bake 14-18 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown. Remove from oven and allow it to cool slightly before serving. This goes great with some tomato sauce for dipping.
Bon appetite!
