So, you may have heard of Snowzilla, otherwise known as Winter Storm Jonas, that blew through the area this past weekend. The measurement above is slightly premature -- I took that Saturday afternoon. When I went back out Sunday morning, we had three more inches. But really, when you start looking at numbers this big, it's a lot of snow to fall in one storm, and it doesn't really matter if it's 32 inches or 35. (For my Canadian friends, 35 inches is not quite 90 cm.) Fortunately, the plows came down the street yesterday afternoon, so we are free to move about
But, a snowstorm is prime baking weather, and I spent most of Saturday and Sunday in front of the oven, pleasing Beast with various and sundry yummies. Below, in the order I made them, are the peach cobbler, the loaf of white bread, and the monkey bread.
(The peach cobbler was entirely consumed by Sunday. We're still going through the other two.)
